1942 St. Louis Cardinals Team Signed Baseball from The Stan Musial Collection.
A first taste of World Championship glory for the owner of this high-grade sphere, who completed his sophomore MLB season with a four-to-one Fall Classic thumping of Joe DiMaggio and the New York Yankees. Fifteen members of that team gathered to bask in the good memories at some time during the Warren Giles administration (1951-69), signing this Official National League (Giles) sphere for posterity. Along with Musial himself, we find Southworth, Slaughter, Cooper, Crespi, Moore, Gumbert and more.
